Hotel Preview: The Hoxton Amsterdam

The Hoxton Amsterdam is one of these modern hotels which is totally different from everything you may have known till today. While properties like The Conservatorium Hotel Amsterdam look absolutely stunning, The Hoxton follows a totally different approach. Small rooms, large public areas and a very special atmosphere is what makes the property unique. Find more content about Amsterdam on our city page! 5 canal houses at the popular Herengracht make up for one of the most stunning properties Amsterdam has seen in some time. The Hoxton Amsterdam is not stunning in a totally luxurious way, but instead in a very special one. Kitchen (Image Source: The Hoxton Amsterdam / thehoxton.com) The ideally located hotel wants to bring people together and make them feel at home. Cultural events at the property and large public spaces add a bonus you won’t find in any other hotel in Amsterdam! San Francisco: Top things to do and see

Originally posted on travelux:
San Francisco is one of those cities in which it will never get boring and this not just because it is big. San Francisco simply has a lot to offer when it comes to things to do and see. Whether it is the Golden Gate Bridge or China Town, Pier 39 or Lombard Street: There’s always something to discover. So, here are our probably most popular top things to do and see in San Francisco! Cross the Golden Gate Bridge Apart from being considered as “the” symbol for the United States of America next to the Statue of Liberty in New York, the Golden Gate Bridge San Francisco is the landmark of the whole Bay Area San Francisco. So, crossing the Golden Gate Bridge is a real must-do! Moreover, the Golden Gate Bridge has been declared one of the Wonders of a Modern World. Ride a Cable Car The Cable Car System of San Francisco is the very last one which is being operated on a manual basis. Of the once…

Manhattan

?? ?I exited my apartment building, curt note in hand for the UPS delivery person: The buzzer for 2R is broken – please leave delivery inside the door. Contrary to what somebody told you yesterday, there are tenants in 2R – one especially who would have loved to have slept on a mattress last night. I crammed the note between the old brick wall and the broken buzzer and made my way down the now-familiar street to get coffee at a café that I had been referred to by seasoned locals. They’d been here since August, anyway. The rectangular olive-green sign beckoned me onward, steel and hard with flashing bulbs that made it look like an old and woefully lost Vegas sign. I ordered an almond croissant and a cappuccino and took a seat at a small, round marble table. I found myself flanked by hipsters, the luminescent glow of chalky white Apples and the click-click-click of their modern keyboards surrounding me. Extremely conscious of being the only person in the large café without a…

Barcelona Beauty.

Taken at: Casa Milà, Barcelona, Spain, 2015. I’ve been looking back at photo’s from my recent summer vacation (in an attempt to escape the current cold winter reality) and stumbled across this one taken in Barcelona. This photo is taken from the courtyard of Gaudí’s Casa Milà, an architectural masterpiece. You would probably recognize the building from it’s extravagant outside and rooftop, but I was really draw to the structure of the building. I loved playing with perspective and angles in this photograph, and I’m pretty happy in how it turned out. Hoije ❤

The Nai Harn Phuket is the ideal combination of the beauty of nature and the vivid life of Phuket. Set in one of the nicest areas of Thailand, the luxury resort offers privacy on the highest level and some of the nicest beaches in the whole world. Yet, the location is just one good argument for The Nai Harn Phuket, which has brand new rooms and comes with a truly amazing design. After an 18-month long renovation, The Nai Harn Phuket opened its doors again just a few weeks ago. Guests of the luxury resort now can enjoy one of the best locations on the dream island with more modern and stylish rooms than ever before. City Review: Madrid

Originally posted on travelux:
Madrid is the capital of Spain and not only a popular touristic destination, but also important when it comes to business purposes. Especially the Town Hall and Palacio Real are impressive, but the city has a lot to offer in general. Our city review shows you what we discovered in Madrid! First, our way led us past the National Museum and National Library. The National Library of Spain was founded in 1712 and is thus older than 300 years! Strolling through alleys One very special thing about Madrid is that there are huge streets as well as very small alleys. Strolling around in Madrid, we were able to watch incredible architecture which is mostly historic. Congress of Deputies Madrid One example for that is the building which houses the Congress of Deputies! Botanical Garden Madrid Honestly, I’m not quite sure why we invested the small extra fee to be able to access the Botanical Garden Madrid in December as it was just winter and thus, not much could be seen. Apart…

Cape Town: Top things to do and see

Originally posted on travelux:
Cape Town is big, Cape Town is colorful, Cape Town is buzzing and the question is rather what to do not in Cape Town than what to do there at all. The second biggest city of South Africa after Johannesburg has a rich history which has influenced Cape Town ever since. As there are so many lovely things to do and see, what to do and see best in Cape Town? Get up early for Table Mountain Table Mountain is one of the most popular and outstanding landmarks of Cape Town. Not any surprisingly, everyone visiting Cape Town wants to get up that mountain. The thing is just that there is often fog so that you cannot enjoy great views. Plus, it appears to happen that you have to wait incredibly long for a ride, even two hours + in low season! So, if you really want to get up there, get up early – the sky is usually clearer then. Moreover, waiting hours can be less. And no, having bought…

Look Here! Tools to Help You Find The Cheapest Flight

Every travel blogger has made some sort of post on how they find the cheapest flights. The stereotypical answers may be “be flexible with your dates” or “be flexible with your destinations” yada yada yada. Yes, both of those are useful, but I’m going to show you the best tools, applications, and websites for finding the cheapest flights. These are in no particular order of importance; solely the order in which they come to my mind! Hitlist – The Google Chrome Application Okay, I lied, I did put this one first because it is definitely my new  favorite. If you use Google Chrome, I highly suggest adding this tool. Essentially, every time you open a new tab on your screen, a shot like this pops up showing amazing deals to random places. If you like it, you click “Flights” and it’ll take you to flight radar where you can see the dates and the website to purchase it from. It’s quite easy to install; here’s how to do it.
