By Tarryl Jackson When an acquaintance of mine invited me to spend the day on San Francisco’s Treasure Island for her birthday, I was very apprehensive about making the one-hour drive. The last time I drove into the city, I was almost side-swiped and rear-ended, and I almost hit a skateboarder who jumped out in front of my car. We started with the streets of San Francisco where we found vibrant houses, garages and staircases. The city’s residential areas display playful colors and intricate designs, which make for perfect picture spots. Many of the properties are known as “Painted Ladies”, which are Victorian-designed houses painted with multiple colors to decorate the architecture. Painted Ladies can be found all over the city, making it a beautiful place to drive through. The famous block of Painted Ladies in San Francisco is next to the Alamo Square, which is previewed in the show intro of the TV show, Full House! San Francisco is definitely a city to add to your bucket list. I wore a simple outfit to contrast the complex surroundings. My outfit consisted of a burgundy polka dot shirt, khaki shorts, and grey loafers. Below are pictures that we took. Stay tuned for our Northern California journey.
