Day: I let myself go. And I mean… REALLY bad.

So today, this happened… permission to judge! I don’t think I need to actually write a post here. You can clearly see for yourself that today was a bad day for the diet. But it’s ok. As with life nowadays, I’m not going to beat myself up about it. Just move on, and continue to try… I mean, how is anyone supposed to turn away from this?? Ok, one friend did – yay her. But I couldn’t. Nu uh! Not a chance! Needless to say I couldn’t finish it, but I god damn well tried! It was a Galaxy flippin’ Cheesecake… go figure!

Hi everyone! I wanted to address some misconceptions I hear often about fat loss. First, muscle is NOT built from fat.  Your body does NOT turn fat into muscle.  I hear this all the time– (Woman looking at her belly) “I really need to go do crunches because I want to have abs like you..” NO! You can honestly do crunches until your blue in the face, are you building muscle? Yes! BUT that muscle is still going to be buried under the adipose tissue.  In order to burn adipose tissue, or better known as the dreaded F-word, FAT, you must be in a caloric deficit! I think the best compliments are the ones you get when you least expect it. You know, like on those days when you barely made it out the door, your once beautifully blown out hair is now beyond frizzy…again, and you still haven’t decided if your shoes match. Those are the days when you least expect anyone to say something nice about you. Well, not too long ago, I was having one of those days and I just so happened to cross paths with a friend of mine.
