Drugstore Brands I want to try more from!

Since starting my blog I have got much better at venturing into new brands, but I feel as though there are still many brands I want to explore more. I’ve seen a few of these posts recently so I thought I would give you my own spin on it, starting with the drugstore brands I want to try more from. Revlon -?Revlon is a brand I have always been aware of but for some reason I have barely tried any of their products, except from this gorgeous pink lipstick I received in a Glossybox. They have just released a whole range of new mascaras which I would love to try, and I would also like to try their Color Stay foundation. NYX -?When Valentina & I did our beauty swap, she kindly sent me some Nyx products. I have fallen in love with the butter gloss in Tiramisu, and I literally want to try every shade. Their HD concealer has also caught my attention and also their primers. H&M Beauty -?I…

D.C. Days: The Capital in Under 48 Hours

A big problem about catching the travel bug is being 22 and broke. A quick-fix solution for this is to keep your trips short and sweet. This sparked the two-day trip to Washington D.C. my boyfriend Nick and I took this fall. Luckily, we live within driving distance (about two and a half hours), which of course saves tons on travel costs! We got there on a Saturday morning and left by Sunday night, but had a awesome, activity packed two days in the nation’s capital. After sitting in traffic most of the morning I finally got into D.C. and met Nick (who was coming from school in Virginia) at The MadHatter. The restaurant was unsurprisingly decked out in all things Alice in Wonderland, but in an almost subtle way that wasn’t completely overwhelming. I didn’t feel like I was in Disneyland; instead there was an assortment of portraits and memorabilia of Alice and the gang along the wood-paneled walls, which I absolutely loved! After a waffle-filled and lovely brunch, we headed over to…

More Photo Back Drop DIYs.

Not too long ago, I shared a post with you guys about creating your own photo back drops! You can see my process and post here. I’ve loved using these gorgeous and super simple backgrounds for all my photos lately. It really makes the quality and creative flare of my photography pop. During the first round, I only made three though and I’ve been on the look out for any more styles that would compliment my blog and ideas. While perusing through Target the other day, I ran into some lovely wrapping paper that I knew I needed as backgrounds. These sheets just couldn’t be passed by. So, I grabbed two more large white dry erase styrofoam boards, my tape and scissors, and of course, my new paper! This weekend I sat down with all of that, and made two more pretty backdrops. I’m already in love with them and using them for photoshoots for future posts. Cheers, — Brey
