The Perfect Day In Bondi

Originally posted on Little Brantley Abroad:
Today marks my last day in Bondi Beach before I head home for the holidays. I don’t know how, but from the moment I arrived, this beach town felt like home to me. Yes, it is a beautiful beach with attractive Aussie men running around 😉 but there is so much more to it. The people here are so kind and filled with great energy, anything you need is just a few steps away, and it has provided me with more incredible sunsets than I could have ever imagined. If you have a trip to Sydney planned, don’t miss out on a day in this spectacular place. Here’s how to have the perfect day in Bondi: Breakfast in Bondi: The restaurants in Bondi are so good that I will be posting a full article about all the delicious places to get brekkie, but for the sake of this post, I would recommend Speedos Cafe! Not only is their food amazing to photograph, it’s also delicious. (Below are their cronuts and pink…

Honestly, my favorite gifts are always in my stocking. I never really received or was even a huge fan of bigger gifts. Gift Guide for Art Lovers

Gift buying should be easy, but sometimes it can be tricky to find the right thing, especially for artists and art lovers.  We’re kind of known to be picky. I hope this helps! Canvases (gallery wrapped are the best, start with sizes 12×12 – 18×24)  Inspire them to create! Oil Paint (Williamsburg oils, Old Holland, and Gamblin are my favorite).  Even if you just buy 1-2 tubes, color inspires amazing things in creative minds. Print Sets!  I am offering 4 different collections of curated artwork; boxed, wrapped, lovely, and ready for the Christmas tree! Paint brushes.  A good paint brush is like a magic wand in the right hands!  Rosemary and Winsor & Newton are two of my favorites. Brushstroke Ornaments.  Special handpainted ceramic globe (fit for the tree and for the home all year long!) iPhone Case.  Artist-y-ness for your phone! Handpainted Handbag.  Fashion statement perfect for the art lover in your life!  Completely original and unique. Art classes at a local arts center or studio. and… if all else fails, a gift card…

Neiman Marcus Fantasy Gifts 2015: Santa’s Got A Brand New Douchebag

Haven’t finished your holiday shopping yet? Have an unreasonably large budget, no time to arrange a gift yourself, and a total d-bag on your shopping list? Yeah, me either, thank goodness. But for the second year in a row, we DO at least have the Neiman Marcus Fantasy Gifts to remind us that we’re better off than the people who do have those things — plus some low-budget alternatives for the rest of us. A Motorcycle Day With Keanu Reeves and Keanu Reeves’ Friend Gard Cost: $150,000.00 First, go to breakfast with Keanu Reeves and Keanu Reeves’ friend Gard – which I’d be into, I mean I’d hit up a good brunch with John Wilkes Booth and Justin Bieber if promised bottomless mimosas. Then go on a motorcycle ride, then go to a cafe. Then take a friend to dinner and ditch Keanu. Or don’t: the man has been through a lot and I hear he’s one of the nicest celebrities. The next day, ride through a forest with Keanu…

Have the holidays become too stressful?

Originally posted on Michelle Leigh Writes:
The holiday season is in full gear. As we have already passed Halloween, and Thanksgiving. Christmas is just around the corner. And I have to say that I’m still slightly in disbelief at how quickly its come, yet again. As I get older, I’ve realized something. Time speeds by, each year it gets quicker and quicker. Everything becomes stressful and timed, and we make it more commercial then spiritual and magical like it should be. I remember when I was a kid, I used to get so excited when Christmas was near. It was my favorite time of year. I remember decorating the tree with my family and playing Christmas songs as early as October, sometimes even in the summer time because I was just so infatuated. Now it seems as though no one has time for anything anymore. No time to decorate, or shop, or be festive. Everything is like warp speed and before we even get to Thanksgiving they are already shoving Christmas down our throats. Stores commercialize…

Clean Eating on a Budget at Target

Originally posted on Crafty Coin Recently, I’ve been challenging myself to shop at just one grocery store instead of bouncing around finding the best deals. I’ve conquered Trader Joe’s, Whole Foods, and now this week, I took my $70 weekly grocery budget and headed to Target! Target is one of those stores which seems to have a sort of cult following. People go nuts for this place! With it’s bright clean and chic atmosphere, quality dollar section, and usually a Starbucks available to enjoy a coffee while you shop, what isn’t there to love? Now here in Chicago, we have lots of different Target options. We’ve got the regular old Targets. The SuperTargets. The Urban Targets. And even the CityTargets. They all offer essentially the same thing, but with more or less variety at each store. Being that I have so many great grocery store options near my apartment, I’d never made the mile trek to my nearest Target to pickup my food for the week. When I arrived, I was surprised by what I found. Read …

Banana Republic Factory: Sweater and T-shirt Cheap Buys!

Originally posted on Supa Life of a Shopaholic:
?? Hello! During today’s little afternoon shopping date, R and I went to the Banana Republic Factory store in Long Island and I purchased two items: sweater & t-shirt! I like to blog and put up pictures of clothes that I bought recently (in this case…today) so that if you’re interested in the deals, you can go out and get it, too! :)??? ?This sweater is soft and warm (too warm right now!!!). I got it to wear for work. It’s nice and casual and you’ll like the price, too! Btw: I am 5’7 and I purchased a size S for this sweater. It is still a bit loose and I like it that way! The original price was $59.99 and of course there’s a 40% off sale on this price…and then I got another 40% on top of the sale price, because RetailMeNot had a coupon for extra 40% off both regular and sale items at Banana Republic Factory stores which ends August 24th. It’s pretty…

How To Shop Smart! Part 1!

Originally posted on O so Vogue:
Everyone knows that a girls biggest weakness is shopping! Looking thorough endless racks of clothes I always manage to find something I like and can never resist the urge to buy it! Unfortunately the only solution to not buy clothes you don’t need is to not go shopping, but if you are anything like me, that won’t work, I always end up in a mall somehow! Here are some tips on how to shop yet still save money. A day or two before you go shopping always go online and check for coupons. You’re probably thinking, “I won’t find any coupons, if there are any sales I’ll find out at the store,” but you’d be surprised how many coupons I’ve found and how much money I’ve saved. There are usually coupons for The body shop and Claires so make sure to always search for coupons for those stores. Stores are sneaky, they don’t place racks randomly, they place them strategically. Almost every store has a clearance rack, you just…
