Spectrum Brushes Review

Originally posted on ISOBEL FRANCES:
Recently I was given the opportunity to try out ‘Spectrum’ brushes and of course I jumped at the chance because WHY WOULDN’T I WANT PINK BRUSHES IN MY LIFE!? If you haven’t seen this brand floating around Instagram then, quite frankly, you’re missing out because every time I see a pic of these adorable mermaid-inspired brushes I die a little inside. The brand are PETA registered, vegan trademarked and cruelty free (YAAS) and claim to be the leading brand in trend lead makeup brushes with professional performance. They have also been used by the stars of TOWIE, Geordie Shore, MIC and many more. I was very kindly sent the ‘8 Piece Eye Blending Set’ which retails for £29.99 and can be purchased HERE. I unboxed the brushes on camera in an unboxing video over on my YouTube channel so if you wanna see my overly-excited initial reaction to the cuteness click HERE. I definitely said ‘cool’ WAY too many times in that video so here I plan to share my thoughts in a little…

MUA Velvet Lip Lacquers

Originally posted on The Flower That Blooms:
Ever since we started our blog we’ve been wanting to try new products. Prior to blogging we rarely wore lip products, now over a year into having our blog , we have a new found love for liquid lipsticks in particular! If you read our blog regularly you’ll know that we love the brand MUA and have done a few haul posts in the past. We saw that they had a range of matte liquid lipsticks and as we’re huge fans of a matte lip, we thought we’d try them out! From Left to Right : Passion/Dash/Harmony There are a range of colours in the Velvet Lip Lacquer collection starting from nudes and bold pinks all the way down to the deepest purple and even black! The velvet lip lacquers are a highly pigmented matte gloss, which dry really quickly once applied. As we were unsure if we were going to like the product we only picked up 3 at first. However, since these photos were taken we’ve added a few more…

Sephora Haul

Well, you all knew this was coming – how could I go to a European city without taking a trip to Sephora?! I was actually quite surprised at myself as I was much more restrained in Sephora than I expected. I think this was partially due to the fact that European Sephora’s don’t have too many brands that we can’t get in the UK (unlike Sephora in the US). I instantly knew I had to get something from Kat Von D, and I had my heart set on trying some goodies from Sephora’s own brand. I have always wanted to try some of Sephora’s face masks, virtually every Sephora haul I have seen has included some of them. I was intrigued by their Avocado range, which is said to be nourishing and repairing. So I decided to try the Sephora Avocado Eye Mask & Sephora Avocado Sleeping Mask, both of which I am very excited to try and may even review if that’s something you would be interested in? Sephora are known for…

Two days until my birthday ! February 11th and I will be 17…. ok 20…. Fine fine, stop pulling my leg. I will be 24. Scary to think of honestly. Like everyone else I was offered between Fresh items or Marc Jacobs, and since I love Marc Jacobs lipstick I picked that one! I was lucky though, ABH lipsticks have been added to Sephora Canada (FINALLY I GET TO TRY THEM YESSS) and they had a great offer of Nars lipstick and perfume samples I took advantage of. Before I give it all away here are the items I decided to pick up. **All Swatches are at the bottom of the post** Vita Liberata Tanning Mitt I grabbed this because I won a self tanner a while back but was terrified of using it without a mit. I have only used spray ones so I am excited I can finally try it out, and tell you all how it is! Sephora’s Birthday Choice- Marc Jacobs Beauty Le Marc…

Drugstore Brands I want to try more from!

Originally posted on LucieLeannexo:
Since starting my blog I have got much better at venturing into new brands, but I feel as though there are still many brands I want to explore more. I’ve seen a few of these posts recently so I thought I would give you my own spin on it, starting with the drugstore brands I want to try more from. Revlon -?Revlon is a brand I have always been aware of but for some reason I have barely tried any of their products, except from this gorgeous pink lipstick I received in a Glossybox. They have just released a whole range of new mascaras which I would love to try, and I would also like to try their Color Stay foundation. NYX -?When Valentina & I did our beauty swap, she kindly sent me some Nyx products. I have fallen in love with the butter gloss in Tiramisu, and I literally want to try every shade. Their HD concealer has also caught my attention and also their primers. H&M Beauty -?I…

Ipsys January theme is ‘All Eyes on You’ which features a super cute retro bag that is patterned on the front and blue on the back. Here are the products I recieved: MARSK Mineral Eyeshadow in Mudcake – $22.50 This is a full sized product, at first look when I opened this, I wasn’t in love but once I swatched it I saw it’s true beauty. It’s kind of a brown-plum with a hint of green glitter, had me mesmerzied! For being a 100% mineral all natural shadow is has an extremely soft, creamy texture blends out beautifully! It is also very versatile, you can use it by itself, over other shadows, or as the picture above shows the different pay offs while wet, primed, and diffrent bases(ipsy’s picture). I’m not sure of the staying power yet but I will keep you all…
