Michael B. Jordan: An Adonis To Be Thankful For

Guys, listen. It’s Monday. It’s the first day back from a four-day weekend. You stuffed your face with food and then stuffed your ears with Christmas music. We shouldn’t have to be at work right now. But alas, here we are. And I appreciate you taking the time out of your day to read this – aka procrastinating your work a bit more. In return, I’m going to stuff your eyes with one of God’s greatest gifts to mankind, Michael B. Jordan. Over the weekend, I saw Creed, the Rocky spin-off movie. If you know me, this may be a somewhat surprising choice for holiday weekend viewing because I usually don’t put sports movies on the top of my list. However, if you do know me, you know I’m a fan of Michael B. Jordan and HBMs in general. On top of that, I kept hearing nothing but good things about Creed, so I caved and went to see it. And let me tell you  – I haven’t been able to…

Birchbox November | Unboxing Video

After the disappointment of my October Birchbox (see full post for more details) I was excited when I heard Birchbox were collaborating with the well loved brand Skinny dip (I particularly love their cute phone cases). I thought I would switch things up a bit this month and film an unboxing video, so be sure to head on over to my YouTube channel for all the details of the products I received. To summarise, I loved the appearance of this month’s box – the shells looked so adorable and pastel colours are always a big hit with me. Without revealing too much the products were a mixed bag – but much better than last month, I’m particularly excited to try the Lord and Berry lip liner. I still feel a bit unsure as to whether I will continue my subscription, but I am going to give it one more month. The prospect of a Christmas themed box for December is just keeping me hanging on in there! As I’ve already mentioned be…

A Teenagers Writing: Paper Hearts

Originally posted on Everything and Nothing:
Hey guys, For this week, I decided to share this song I’d written. It’s based on Paper Towns a book by John Green and to be very honest it’s one of the very few books of his that I’ve actually liked…  So I decided to write a song? Well, something like that (because obviously, every time you read a book, you write a song for it :P) …. Let me know if you like it 🙂 Paper Hearts I watched the lightning strike, Watched it tear down trees, Thought of you and I, How we used to be. Saw all the memories again, In a split second, Felt the walls closing in, Felt all those stares. And I don’t want to stay no more, Living with these paper hearts, All over these paper towns, Watching every move we make, Forever. So let’s get away, We can just run away, To a better place, Where hearts don’t lie. Snuck of at dark, Never to return. Felt that long lost spark,…

I kind of agree with her. Hear me out.

Nicole Arbour got into a lot of trouble today. In many ways, I don’t feel bad for the lady. Her “Dear Fat People” video was insulting and tactless. What exactly what she expecting when she insulted a protected class of people? Let’s talk about the protected class. You can’t insult an gay person, an uber feminist, a fat person, or a dog in 2015. If I insult Caitlyn Jenner on this blog, I’m sure my mailbox will be filled with hate mail. Why? Because at any point in time we deem as a society to have a protected class or classes of people worthy of our protection. You cannot under any circumstances offend them. Now, as I watched her “Dear Fat People” video, I couldn’t help but agree with some of her honest, salient points enshrouded in her insults. Let’s talk about them. Fat-shaming. It’s worth talking about. Instead of using the term “fat-shaming,” I wish she had said “anti-fat acceptance” because I’m totally on…
