Worth the hype? | MAC Whirl

Since the release of the new MAC matte range in August, Whirl has been one of the most talked about lipsticks in the blogging community. It was inevitable eventually I would end up purchasing this, especially after seeing so many rave reviews and the fact I’m totally addicted to MAC lipsticks. Whirl is like the darker, bolder big sister of Velvet Teddy. MAC describe this is a dirty rose, on my skin tone it pulls a lot more brown nude though. As with VT, I think Whirl would suit a wide range of skin tones. On a pale complexion like mine it is quite a bold shade but I still think it’s a very versatile colour. I think Whirl is a great shade for the colder months of the year, I’m not I will get as much from this shade when Spring/Summer comes around. Whirl is a matte finish, it is one of the more drying MAC lipsticks I’ve tried but it isn’t overly uncomfortable on the lips. It does tug…

October 2015 Lip Monthly Reveal & Review

My first impression of This beauty subscription is that they have good quality products but absolutely horrid customer service. Their site needs a lot of work but their shop is slowly improving and has good prices. Only thing I wish was different in this bag is the fact the two colours were so close. *Note- the prices are below based on their website shop, not the display card received in the bag* Lord Berry Crayon – $13 This is a full-sized Lord Berry Crayon in shiny Sensual (red). What I like about this, aside from the colour, is its pleasant smell and creamy texture. It was really easy to apply however it doesn’t last very long, I found myself having the reapply after drinking and eating. Mica Cosmetics Lip Pot…

Maybelline Colour Sensational Creamy Mattes Lipstick Review ♡

I am a lip product hoarder, but I couldn’t pass up these lipsticks, the colour selection appealed to me and I love creamy matte formulas so they hopped into my shopping basket. I got the two colours I liked the most which were Craving Coral and Divine Wine, the first being an orangey red colour and the latter being a burgundy deep red. On first impression the formula of these are creamy, non-dragging on the lips and comfortable to wear. Application is easy and the coverage is even all over the lips with both shades. I’m also impressed with the staying power and how non-drying it is after an hour or so of wearing, the colour wasn’t lost even after drinking. They do however come off if you touch your lips so you’d have to be careful to not smudge them. Craving Coral I picked polar opposite shades, one is a spring/summer staple and the other perfect for autumn/winter, my reasoning makes no sense but I loved this colour when I swatched it. It’s a bright coral colour…

e.l.f. Matte Lip Color Review + Swatches

Hi everyone, These are the most comfortable matte lipsticks I have ever worn. They are very creamy and will not leave your lips dried out at the end of the day. This review is on the shades “Natural” and “Tea Rose”. They are a roll-up stick and are sized somewhere between a lipstick and a lip liner; the shape helps you apply it without going over the lines. There is about 2.5 inches of product in the tube; which I think is a fair size – it equals to an average lipstick amount. The formula is unbelievably creamy and does not feel at all like you are wearing a matte lipstick. It doesn’t last as long as a true matte formula, which is more drying, but it is decent at about 3-4 hours of wear before fading. Natural is on top, Tea Rose is on the bottom. ‘Natural’ is a beautiful nude which has a touch of beige and peach in it. ‘Tea Rose’ is a mauve-y nude which…

Budget Beauty Finds | Lip Liners

Lip liners are one of those products which I tend to stick with drugstore products, as I feel that the high end liners aren’t that different and it’s not really worth the massive jump in price. As nice as it is to have a Charlotte Tilbury or MAC lip liner, if I can get something just as good for a quarter of the price I’m definitely going to stick with the drugstore option. Today I’m going to talk to you about my three favourite lip liners from the drugstore, all of which I use on a very regular basis. I feel as though I could not replace these three liners and they do just as good a job as their high end counter parts. ?Rimmel Lasting Finish Lip Liner in Spice – At just £2.99 this lip liner is a real steal. The application is a dream and you don’t need to use much pressure to achieve a nice smooth line. This liner is the perfect partner for MAC’s Velvet Teddy…
