Date Idea That Requires Little to No Money

Originally posted on sophie harris:
Hiya!! I’m back with another valentines day related post and this time I want to give you guys some ideas for dates that don’t require too much money. I’m not going to say zero money because that’s not always plausible and honestly, off of the top of my head, I can’t think of any. I’m a poor girl and I know a lot of people, especially students, will not have as much money to splash out extreme amounts on date for this somewhat special day. So I know how it feels and this is my list of 8 money free date ideas. 1. Seek out a food market and live off of the free samples. I do this regardless of dates to be honest hahaha! Restaurants are so bloody expensive sometimes so let’s do that. 2. A museum date. Maybe this is boring to some people, but for me at least who is a history student, it’s fantastic. Most museums have all day admissions so you can go after work…

Valentines Day |Affordable Gift Guide for Her!

Hello everyone, I am so glad to back here blogging and I am also super-duper excited to be sharing this Valentines Day gift guide with you all. Let’s get straight into it: Something Girly ASOS, £4.00 These heart socks in sheer are just too cute and so in fashion at the moment. Would mostly be worn casually with jeans or skirts. This style of socks are available from ASOS, New look and Primark! ? ? ? ? Oliver Bonas, £20 This Oliver Bonas Play, round jewellry box would be a great addition to any girls beauty storage! What drew me to this particular jewellry box was the colour as it’s more of a warm pink- almost peach shade as opposed to the generic barbie pink. Something Daring Amazon, £6.29 I find this book to be quite entertaining and just a good laugh. However, if your other half is a prude- this may not be the right choice! ‘Position Of The Day’ comes with complete illustrations of a different…

Graduation Caps On Fleek

Originally posted on Cookies + Sangria:
When we graduated high school 12 years (!!!!) ago, we didn’t have the option – or maybe didn’t even know there was the option – to decorate the tops of our caps. By college, I think the trend was still out there, but people at my school didn’t delve into their arts & crafts side, despite being an arts school. But now that it’s graduation season again, I am constantly seeing more and more elaborately decorated caps that are more exciting than any commencement I’ve ever attended. And of course, there’s a good chunk out there that were inspired by pop culture, so here are some of the best from the Class of 2016 and their graduation caps on fleek*. *I’m too old to be saying that they’re not “on fleek” I take that back. Prosciutto Wrapped Figs

Life According to Jamie Figs are one of my favorite fruits. Well, I love most fruits, but figs are up there. I think I even had them on my monthly favorites one month last summer. I also love prosciutto, the Italian cured ham. It’s a well-known fact that salty and sweet go together so well. A popular appetizer are prosciutto wrapped melons, but an appetizer or snack that you may not hear about as often is prosciutto wrapped figs. This isn’t really a recipe post, because there’s nothing to it. I washed and cut up some figs, wrapped some strips of prosciutto around the figs and that was it! The salty prosciutto pairs harmoniously with the sweetness from the figs. This is perfect to serve as an appetizer to any summer dinner parties or a little snack for yourself this summer as the figs are so sweet and refreshing. It’s so tasty and while the addition… View original post 20 more words

What Can I Fit into 600 Square Feet?

APARTMENT DREAMING You guys. I have an adorable apartment smack-dab in the heart of Denver’s West Washington Park! The catch? I don’t move in for another 3 months. So in the meantime, brace yourselves for all the home design posts, as I brainstorm on how to decorate the place… Here is the apartment, as seen on Craigslist. (Don’t worry, I’ve scouted it out in person and know all the nooks and crannies, too.) 600 SQUARE FEET IS NOT A LOT …but it’s a good size for the desirable area I’ll be in, and it’s perfect for what I need. As for what I want? Well, because I’m a firm believer in Dreaming Big, here are all the spaces I hope to somehow incorporate into the space, inspired mainly by Pinterest and Apartment Therapy! 10 Innovative Personal Finance Tips

Originally posted on Generation Y Retirement Account:
We see articles often about the most innovative companies, the most innovative technology, the most innovative fitness routines…why not the most innovative money tips? One thing I really dig about personal finance is consistency. There are many teachings & rules that were true in the past that are still applicable today. You really can’t doubt him when Warren Buffet states: “Do not save what is left after spending, but spend what is left after saving.” Buffet is now 85 years old and is worth $61.8 billion dollars. Whoa.  I had to take a minute to let that sink in again… When you start to read & learn more about personal finance, you start to recognize patterns. Lot’s of them. This is great though! Repetition really allows you to learn about a subject that may seem like completely unfamiliar terrain. Unfortunately, if we are not exposed to personal finance teachings in our youth we have to play an immense amount of catch-up in our adulthood. Since personal finance is…
