Maldives on the Cheap: Budget Luxury Guide

Originally posted on thewander-lust.com:
The Maldives is one of those countries I never imagined I would be able to visit. It was only a dream Paradise Travel Destination of mine for ages. If you asked me 8 years ago if I would like to go to Maldives, I would probably just laugh not because there’s something wrong with the idea of being there, in fact, it’s my dream but because I knew it would never ever going to happen. There are only three things which I know about the Maldives. First, it’s an Archipelagic Nation in the middle of the Indian Ocean. Second, it has lots of Private Luxury Resorts that I could never afford. Third, it’s damn expensive to go and stay there. But I guess, the Universe has a way of surprising me. Before I knew it, I found myself on a wooden platform at the balcony of an over-the-water bungalow while starring at the horizon and enjoying the scenic view of the brilliant turquoise blue ocean. Maldives was no longer a dream for me, but when I was there, It felt…

The A-Z (or Y) of a Book Lover’s Glossary

Who else agrees with me on this? That no matter where we are, it will always feel like we have been transported to a new destination whenever we pick up a book to read. I feel that way all the time when I had my nose buried between the pages of a book. Carlos Ruiz Zafon took me to the olden days of Barcelona. Cathy Kelly brought me through the streets of Ireland. Elif Shafak was my tour guide in Turkey and Istanbul. And now, Jimmy Carter is wading through the murky waters with me in Georgia, Philadelphia, and Florida. Even though I was never physically there in those places. That’s it, feel the gentle bookish breeze stroking your mind and stoking your imagination. In the meantime, all this reading and bookish fever have prompted within me to draw up a glossary list (with a short caption for each letter) that most (and many) readers can relate to, although these alphabetical terms are more personal to me than to the masses: A – Adventure New travel …

It’s time for us to share some tips based on our findings. We’ve decided to do our own series of Blogging University to share with all of you. To kick off we’re diving right in with blog posts. One of the, if not THE, most important part of blogging. A good blog contains posts that meet three major elements:

What to Wear to an Interview: A Fashion Guide

Like many others, you may be fresh out of college wanting to show off your skills and personality to a prospective company, but have your elders in your ear telling you how to dress the part even though it’s completely outdated. You may also have several years of experience in a particular field and are looking to make a career change, but haven’t touched up on what is appropriate to wear to that interview. It’s no secret the times have changed and in large part, thanks to our generation. We are bold, fearless, and determined. Some may categorize our efforts as lazy or unprofessional, mainly in the way we dress or carry ourselves, but we see our clothes and style telling a different story. Just decades ago jeans were more common for a relaxing Saturday morning or a night out at the local country club. Today they are found in many workplaces due to the comfort, diverse style changes, and revised fashion trends. That being said, our generation is making its way through the professional …
