Huka Falls

Huka Falls are a set of torrential waterfalls on the North Island of New Zealand. In the photos below, you get the fell for the water’s pace. What’s even crazier is that you can ride a jetboat down this thing. What’s a jetboat? Oh just a teeny tiny little speed boat that can navigate on only 4 inches of water. In true New Zealand spirit, Kiwis drive these little devils, loaded with screaming tourists, around like there isn’t a rock or a waterfall in sight. Only in New Zealand. It’s pretty amazing and terrifying. The American in me kept wonder, “wait–when are we going to sign a liability waiver?”

Sky Gardens London

So heres to another London post. I went up to London to celebrate one of my friends 21st birthday! This included the visit to Pizza Union, Sky Gardens and then drinks and dinner in Southgate at Giraffe. The weather in London on the day wasn’t great and was pretty much your typical British weather, dreary and wet. But we still made the most of it! The sky garden is located in the nicknamed building – Walky talky, because it really does look like one! Looking around the 34 storey building was amazing! It had such a ambient atmosphere! There were drinks and cakes you could purchase I shared a hot chocolate and slice of cheesecake with my sister, but I could have had one to myself it was so yummy! However the prices were a little much, but what can you expect its London?!? Once we got to the top the views were amazing! If only the weather had been better and we could have gone outside onto the balcony…

Singapore: The World in One City

Originally posted on mypassengerdiaries:
On a trip to Singapore with our high school friends five years ago, we got separated from the rest of the group. The two of us – plus our best friend – got lost in the middle of the city with no working phones, no maps, and no idea where to go. We walked around with no direction, visiting little shops and trying street foods in a very unfamiliar area. That’s when we saw it: a tiny street with low-rise buildings painted in crazy colors and beautiful murals. We thought it was so different from what we usually saw in Singapore, so we decided to explore. It turned out we were in Haji Lane, just off the Arab Quarter. Boutique stores lined the street, interrupted in parts by chic cafés and restaurants. Beautiful paintings decorated vacant walls, and people lined up to get photos in front of them (we did too!). https://www.flickr.com/photos/134274848@N05/37297234085/in/album-72157686791755273/ https://www.flickr.com/photos/134274848@N05/24353153728/in/dateposted-public/ Just off the street, we could see the Sultan Mosque standing proudly with the Singaporean skyline in the…

Disney Hidden Gems: Nomad Lounge

Originally posted on Me, Myself and Everything Else:
Happy Monday Babes! Today I wanted to talk about something I really love and that’s Disney! I’m sure you could already tell from previous Disney posts or my instagrams: since the time I was little Disney has been something I’ve loved.? I’ve gone with my family many times as a kid and growing up, and then with friends as I got older, and now Nick and I have made it our thing. We enjoy the parks and the movies and it’s something we love even more now that we live in Orlando. When we got here one of the first things we did was we got season passes and they are the best! They have no blackout days and make it so we can go whenever we want even if only for an hour or two (which we’ve totally done!). One thing Nick and I have enjoyed though is finding things that aren’t so “Disney” in Disney. What I mean is sometimes it’s nice to find something…

Beer in Situ: Something Brewery (Brighton, CO, USA)

The Pertinents 117 N Main St A, Brighton, CO 80601, USA Founded in 2012 The Space It’s a big bar with a lot of space, and it feels very modern for the quaintness of downtown Brighton. I liked the ‘porch’ on the front of the place, so that you could sit outside and enjoy the amazing skies Eastern Colorado offers. They have long opening hours and a breathalyzer in the back, just in case. It’s clear that they’ve done a great job bringing in a slightly different crowd from your average hipstery brewpub, and that they work in the community to foster ties as Brighton grows and changes. Every night of the week has a different theme, from flip night to Cards Against Humanity. The Beer Overall, good. Not awesome, but good. They have created a line of tea-infused beer that is interesting and fresh-tasting, and vanilla seems to play a big role (at least in the beers we tried). The smooth Charon’s Obol is a yummy Irish Red Ale. I…

Top 7 Disney Park Tips!

Originally posted on Me, Myself and Everything Else:
I’ve been thinking about this post for what seems like forever now and am so excited to finally be sharing it! I’m sure I’ll be back with more because we all know I’ll post this and immediately think of another tip… Anyways! Let’s get real, Nick and I love Disney! We always have. We both loved it when we were younger and together, the love has just grown more! Disneyland was one of the first big trips Nick and I ever took together and then Disneyworld was the first really big trip we took together! We always have the best time and now we still pinch ourselves that we live so close! And no, we don’t get sick of it! If anything, it makes it better in my opinion because on days where its just so crazy and we don’t feel like waiting in line, we don’t have to! We can enjoy what we want and then go somewhere else! No stress of super long days! I’ve…
