And I only have [insert hours] of time left before the black tie event tonight, and I need to do [insert chores]… Sounds familiar? Everyone is guilty of this, as do I. You slog all week, clocking in productive hours, preparing hunch-backed tasks for your boss, powering through presentations for clients, and brainstorming with your colleagues. Some of us work long hours. By the time we get home, it is too late to do anything else. All you have time for is a quick shower, an even quicker meal and then it’s off to bed for the next day’s work.…

Pumpkins, bats, witches, cats… how are you celebrating Halloween this year? | Photo by Aventure Parc. In four days’ time, you will have the perfect reason to break out the candy bars, restock the chocolates and sweets and all manners of tasty treats in your kitchen. Naturally, I’d sleep in on weekends. But I will admit that waking up at mid day does take half my day away when I could be up and about, doing a million things before lunch. Nevertheless, my husband and I managed to rouse ourselves awake and shake the cobwebs from our heads. That question bugged us again though: “What shall we have for lunch?” Normally, my husband would go out and buy lunch back but today, I felt like having something different. I felt like going to a new place and trying a…
