District 12

Adventures in Verdance

Two weekends ago, we took a day to drive to western NC to visit one of the filming locations from the Hunger Games — where District 12 was filmed. To the locals, it’s known as Henry River Mill Village. It’s essentially a ghost town, populated only by tourists and local hikers. We did see a pretty bizarre maternity shoot there, as well.
