I’m a Midwest girl and love having four seasons, even winter. My life goal is to be a crazy cat lady, but with a maximum of 5 cats. I’m both a cynic and an optimist. I love to spend a Sunday afternoon watching a marathon of Gilmore Girls or HGTV. And I hate folding laundry.
Cat Lover. Book Worm. Home Chef.
Lifestyle, Food & Culture, Literature
I started blogging at the beginning of 2015, mostly to get into writing and share things I found interesting. I’m also one of those people that loves to take pictures of food and share on social media, so having a blog was a way to share without annoying all my family and friends! My goal is to create a community of followers that like the same things I do: cats, books, good food, and random pop culture information.
FACTS ABOUT KARI
What was the last book you read without skipping any pages?
Luckiest Girl Alive by Jessica Knoll. Not the story I was expecting and definitely a page turner. I like books that aren’t predictable and keep you engaged.
What’s your favorite 80s or 90s memory?
Boy bands. I was a kid when New Kids On The Block came out, and I remember being obsessed. I had a huge collection of items, including marbles with their faces in them. I’ve actually seen them in concert three times as an adult! High school and college brought Backstreet Boys and *N Sync – I still crank up the volume and sing along whenever I hear them on the radio.
What age do you feel right now?
I’ve felt (and acted) like I’m in my mid-twenties for a while now. I don’t think I’ll ever really “grow up” and become an adult.
