I went and saw The Martian the movie a couple of days after finishing the book so it was all fresh in my mind and I got to say I think they did a pretty brilliant job of it!! As usual with adaptions a lot was left out but, in no way a badly done movie! The movie follows the book pretty damn accurately, even some of the dialogue was pulled straight out of the book.

I watched a Buzzfeed video  were they got a NASA scientist to review the movie and the scientist said that all the stuff Mark does is pretty accurate to how it would happen on mars. Just proving that Weir is a brilliant researcher!! Like, all the scientific journals he would have had to have read to be able to make this story so accurute…
