Today I officially start half marathon training – for real this time. Last week, I signed up for the Last Call Half on December 6th and threw down some ambitious time goals for it. I’m finally feeling ready to get to work and train for a goal race again. It feels great to be “back”. I’ve missed having a goal to train for, something to keep me pushing myself and working hard.
I sat down this weekend, forgot everything I had planned for the next few weeks and crafted a legit training plan. As in, I’ve actually scheduled mileage and workouts for the next 9 weeks (as with all of my training plans, all workouts are subject to being tweaked or moved around when necessary).
