Week 1 & 2 – Perth, Western Australia

My first few weeks in Australia meant I was in Perth – the state capital of Western Australia. This city sort of has my heart, but mainly because of the surrounding areas rather than the city itself.

First of all, let’s get to the flight. I flew with Garuda Indonesia – an exceptional budget airline that I was extremely wary about at first but ended up having a brilliant flight (or 4 flights, I should say). The only downside of flying with budget airlines, is the abundance of stopovers. This meant that to get from London to Perth, we actually had 4 flights. London-Amsterdam-Jakarta-Bali-Perth. That was loooong. However, the flights were extremely comfortable and one thing I will say about Garuda Indonesia is that they never stop feeding you.
