Firstly, I think I’m one of many with the hardest job in the world; being a single mom to a four month old. Secondly, I am a passionate writer. I think it’s really important that my characters are relatable to my readers. I want people to either feel like they know someone like one of my characters or are like one of my characters themselves. Sadly, I’ve been working on the same two novels for as long as I can remember. Even though I graduated college with an English degree with a focus in Creative Writing, I still have the absolute worst writing habits. I procrastinate religiously, even when it comes to my blogs. The great thing is, I work very well under the pressure of a deadline.
Single Mom ॐ Diaries
Dating & Parenting
The purpose of my blog is to show single parents that they are not alone. Especially single parents of newborns. For a woman, it’s sort of taboo to have a new baby with no spouse. You get the strange looks or the sympathetic moans. But life happens. Some women roll with the punches. I want my readers to know that it’s okay and they are not alone. I write about dating as a single mother of a newborn unapologetically.
FACTS ABOUT SABRINA
What is the last book you read without skipping any pages?
The last book I’ve read without skipping any pages is called The Silver Star by Jeannette Walls. It’s about two sisters’ making it in a strange town when their mother drops them off with her family. They have to depend on each other and learn to depend on the family they never knew.
Where is your favorite place to go on a weekday afternoon when you have no plans?
On a weekday when I have no plans and a little extra cash, I hop on the Path train to NY with my son and go to Barnes and Noble. The one on Warren in TriBeCa. It’s a hike but there isn’t a local Barnes and Noble in my area. I’ll sit for a little while, buy a book for him, some coffee for me and then head back to Jersey.
